For instance, the 45° DSM screen is ideal for thickening and screening, while the 120° type excels in thickening pulp, fiber recovery, and separating fibers as small as 100 microns. Compact and low-maintenance, these screens feature a unique vee-shaped/wedge wire bar construction with horizontal slots of 100 or 150 microns width.

The flow to be screened is evenly distributed across the screen width through a low-pressure nozzle, ensuring optimal feed velocity. As the suspension passes along the screen plate, water layers are separated by the screen bars, allowing fine particles to pass through the slots.
