The Sieve Bend Screen features a concave static screen made from non-blinding stainless steel wedge wire, providing exceptional filtering capabilities. The screen surface can be supplied in 304 or 316 stainless steel, with a polyurethane option available. Screen apertures range from 0.35mm to 5mm, tailored for specific applications based on particle size cut point, feed rate, solids concentration, and maximum particle size.
Solids-bearing liquid is poured into the feed box, overflowing onto the screen. The wedge wire slices away water and small-particle solids, allowing larger particles to continue down the screen until most liquid is removed. Separation size is typically half the screen aperture size, determined by coal particle size and settling velocity.
