They are commonly used as under drain media retention elements or flow distributors in demineralizers and water softeners, both in pressure and gravity sand filters. Additionally, they can be used as collectors at the bottom of vessels by installing multiple strainers uniformly across a tray plate.

The combination of high open area and a non-plugging slot design makes our nozzle/collector application popular among customers.
